Lehigh University‘s College of Education offers online counseling programs, including a master of education in mental health counseling and a certificate in mental health & education of Latin American people in the U.S.

The online master of education in mental health counseling is a 60-credit program that can be completed in three years, balancing research and practical skills for diverse client populations. Students complete core courses including assessment and appraisal in counseling; helping skills; and counseling and therapeutic approaches, plus mental health courses like theory and practice of group counseling and clinical training through practicum and two internships. The program prepares graduates for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in Pennsylvania.

The certificate in mental health & education of Latin American people in the U.S. offers four courses (12 credits) that can be completed in just one year for professionals serving diverse Latin American communities. Students select from diversity and multicultural perspectives; community-based structural interventions for mental health of Latin American people; access to effective clinical interventions with Latin American people; psychology of immigration from Latin America; and contemporary issues in multilingual learner education.

Admission to the master of education in mental health counseling program requires a completed online application, official transcripts, a resume, a 3.0 cumulative GPA in prior coursework, two letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and English proficiency proof. Admission to all three certificates requires an online application, transcripts with a minimum 2.75 undergraduate GPA, proof of English proficiency, and a resume.
