The MEd in counseling development with school counseling concentration readies students to support P-12 academic, career, and personal/social/emotional growth through concentration courses, including foundations and ethical issues in school counseling and school planning, consulting, and supervision.

Admission requires official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate coursework, a resume, one professional reference, a virtual graded interview with the graduate program director or designated faculty, a brief statement of purpose explaining pursuit of counseling and field fit, a background check, and an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Winthrop University is located in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
